Evening Invitation card

Evening Invitation card

Description

A pearlescent blue deckle edge greetings card has a heart motif stamped in gold on white Mulberry paper. Sparkle is added with crystal glitter. An Evening Invitation sticker completes the design. The card was designed to be part of a wedding invitation set.

Materials used

  • Pearlescent blue deckle edge greetings card 104mm x 152mm (4¼ in x 6 in)
  • Mulberry paper white with gold flecks
  • Rubber stamp De Nami Stamps F134 Heart Block
  • Encore Ultimate Metallic Ink Pad Gold
  • Crystal Ultra-Fine glitter
  • Glue pen
  • Blue felt tip pen
  • Gold sticker Evening Invitation
  • Adhesive

Method

Tear a rectangle of white Mulberry paper and fix it to the greetings card with adhesive. You will have more control over how the Mulberry paper tears if you draw the outline on it in water using a watercolour paint brush. You can then pull the paper apart leaving an attractive rough edge.

Stamp the Heart Block design on the Mulberry paper using Encore Ultimate Metallic Gold Ink.

Add small blue dots to the outer box part of the heard design with a felt tip pen.

Draw inside the gold heart with a glue pen and sprinkle with Crystal Ultra-Fine glitter.

Add an Evening Invitation sticker.

Product availability

We regret that we are unable to advise the reader of a source of supply for the materials used in the projects on the Card Making Inspirations web site.

The layouts and techniques used in these projects are timeless. However, products such as stamps, stickers and patterned papers are quickly discontinued to be replaced by new items. When this happens we suggest that there is a lot of satisfaction in finding an alternative product that suits the design.
