How to make a beautiful birthday card with a lily sticker and pearlised paint
|

Pearl lily cardDescriptionA lily flower from a black sticker is put on parchment, painted with pearlised paint and embossed. This is mounted in an aperture card with a background of green paper. It is completed with a Happy Birthday sticker. Materials used
MethodThe self-adhesive lily peel-off sticker is positioned on a piece of vellum parchment paper. Colour the lily with the Pearlescent liquid acrylic and allow to dry. Emboss the lily flower on the parchment paper. Place the parchment paper face down on an embossing pad and work over the design with a medium embossing tool. Mount the parchment paper in the card aperture using double-sided tape or adhesive. Mount a sheet of mottled green backing paper behind the parchment paper with double-sided tape or adhesive. With the inside of the card uppermost close the left hand side of the card over the aperture and fix down. Add strips of black around the aperture. These were cut from the waste on the black sticker. The Happy Birthday sticker was originally silver, now coloured with a black permanent marker pen. Colour the sticker whilst still on the sheet and apply to the greeting card when dry.
