Holly on corrugated card

Holly on Corrugated Card

Description

A textured natural white card has a square of green corrugated card in the centre. A holly design is stamped on white card, trimmed around and mounted on the corrugated card. The holly design has a glitter background. Chain border stickers surround the square plus red pen dots. A Season's Greetings stamp and tiny holly motifs complete the design.

Materials used

  • Textured natural white deckle edge greetings card 100mm x 100mm (4 x 4 ins)
  • Rectangle of green corrugated card
  • Sheet of white card
  • Rubber stamp Hero Arts LL706 Holly (part of set with pad)
  • Rubber stamp Hero Arts LL513 Season's Greetings (set of 3 stamps)
  • Tombow brush pen red
  • Tombow brush pen green 177
  • Crystal glitter glue
  • Sticker No 81 gold border
  • Adhesive
  • Scissors

Method

Ink the Hero Arts holly stamp with a green Tombow pen and stamp it on a piece of white card. Colour the holly berries of the stamp with a red pen. Add crystal glitter glue to the background areas of the holly design.

When this is dry cut around it leaving approximately 2mm white border all round (1/8 in).

Cut a rectangle of green corrugated card to 48mm wide by 42mm high (2 x 1¾ ins). Mount the holly design in the centre of this with adhesive.

Mount the corrugated card on the greeting card with adhesive, using the illustration as a guide.

Make a border of chain stickers around the corrugated card. It actually uses the bit left between the chains. Add small red dots with a Tombow pen.

Ink the Hero Arts Season's Greetings stamp with a green Tombow pen and stamp it on the card beneath the corrugated rectangle.

Product availability

We regret that we are unable to advise the reader of a source of supply for the materials used in the projects on the Card Making Inspirations web site.

The layouts and techniques used in these projects are timeless. However, products such as stamps, stickers and patterned papers are quickly discontinued to be replaced by new items. When this happens we suggest that there is a lot of satisfaction in finding an alternative product that suits the design.
