Long stemmed rose card

Long stemmed rose card

Description

A white card has a pink square shadow stamp design over stamped with a long stemmed rose. Crystal glitter glue is used to pick out the rose detail and the edges of the card. It is finished with a pink ribbon.

Materials used

  • White single fold greetings card with deckle edge 88mm x 114mm (3½ ins x 4½ ins)
  • Hero shadow stamp A1873 Background 1
  • De Nami Sm long stemmed rose stamp F105
  • Pink Encore Ultimate Metallic ink pad
  • Tombow brush pens in pink and green
  • Pink ribbon
  • Crystal glitter glue

Method

Stamp the card with the shadow stamp design. To get the effect of darker edges, ink the stamp and stamp it on scrap paper to remove some of the ink. Then re-ink just the edges of the stamp and stamp your card.

The rose stamp was inked in two colours using pink and green Tombow brush pens.

Add glitter glue highlights to the stamped image and the edges of the card.

Pierce two holes in the spine of the card 20mm apart. Thread pink ribbon through the holes. The two ends first went from the outside in and them returned through the opposite holes. The ribbon is 140 mm long and 20mm wide.

Product availability

We regret that we are unable to advise the reader of a source of supply for the materials used in the projects on the Card Making Inspirations web site.

The layouts and techniques used in these projects are timeless. However, products such as stamps, stickers and patterned papers are quickly discontinued to be replaced by new items. When this happens we suggest that there is a lot of satisfaction in finding an alternative product that suits the design.
