Angel Christmas card

Angel Christmas card

Description

An aperture card with a cut-out angel mounted over the aperture. Decorated with greetings stickers and highlighted with glitter glue.

Materials used

  • White double fold greetings card 104mm x 152mm with round aperture
  • Rubber stamp De Nami N45 Standing Angel
  • White card
  • Silver inkpad
  • Silver embossing powder
  • Yellow & flesh Tombow felt tip pens
  • Clear or crystal glitter glue
  • White mulberry paper
  • Sticker No. 76 Happy Christmas
  • Sticker No. 24 Stars
  • Double-sided self-adhesive foam pads

Method

Stamp the angel on white card with a tinted or silver inkpad and emboss with silver embossing powder. Colour the angel hair, face and trumpet with felt tipped Tombow pens. Highlight the angel's dress, following the stamped lines, with clear/crystal glitter glue. When the glue is dry cut the angel out.

Cut a piece of white mulberry paper just larger than the aperture of the card and fix inside the card with glue or double-sided tape.

With the inside of the card uppermost close the left hand side of the card over the aperture and fix down.

Scribble a zigzag line of glitter glue over the mulberry paper and carefully outline the aperture with glitter glue.

Fix a Happy Christmas and star stickers to the card. Fill the stars with glitter glue.

When all the glue is dry fix the angel to the card with pieces of double-sided self-adhesive foam pads.

Product availability

We regret that we are unable to advise the reader of a source of supply for the materials used in the projects on the Card Making Inspirations web site.

The layouts and techniques used in these projects are timeless. However, products such as stamps, stickers and patterned papers are quickly discontinued to be replaced by new items. When this happens we suggest that there is a lot of satisfaction in finding an alternative product that suits the design.
